Raymond Patton founded Patton’s Five Star Towing in 1997 with just one truck and one location. From day one he strived to have one of the most professional companies and we continue to do so every day. With the passing of Raymond in 2008 his son Jacob has continued Ray’s legacy and built one of the most professional companies in the area. Now with three locations and 16 trucks we continue to expand each and every day to meet all of your needs.
Growing up around wreckers his whole life, Jacob is extremely honored and proud to continue his father’s business. When Jacob first took over the business he accepted an award for the Golden 30 and an American Towman award on behalf of his father and has since won 2 more awards himself. Training and certifications are very important to Jacob. He is 6/7 Wreckmaster certified and is always trying to learn more.
“Helping the motoring public is what motivates this company and myself. When people are calling for a tow they generally aren’t having a great day. Turning their negative situation into a positive by getting them off the road safely is the most important thing in our industry.”
Mick Mackrell – General Manager
Mick is highly mechanically inclined and has 12 years of tow and recovery experience, in both military and civilian atmospheres. Before his career with Patton’s Five Star Towing, Mick served in the USMC, where he quickly moved up in rank and received many achievement medals and awards, including Marine of the Year 2FSSG in 2002. In 2001-2003 he worked in motor transport as a wrecker supervisor, becoming familiar with all recovery abilities of 5 ton and 22 ½ ton wreckers, and conducting hundreds of heavy lifts with the wrecker crane. In 2004 Mick was promoted meritoriously to the rank of Platoon Sergeant, where he then became Motor Transport Platoon Sergeant and successfully conducted large-scale missions while completing over 200,000 accident free road miles. In 2013 he earned a Level 4/5 certification with Wreckmaster. He then ventured into hauling heavy equipment with tractor trailers using many different types of trailers to meet the jobs demand; low boy, step deck, flat bed, and side axle. Mick is a hard working devoted employee who is always looking for the next challenge.
